Who here keeps New World cichlids?
I've got a few.
99% of my fishroom is dedicated to new world cichlids.
85% is currently dedicated to Amphilophus species.
Currently includeing (but not limited to)
Amphilophus chancho
Amphilophus amarillo
The above were the first of their species to enter the U.S. so they're a highlight in my fishroom and even though they lack color, a personal favorite.
Amphilophus citrinellus - Midas Cichlids - currently barred varyiants and yellow
Amphilophus ESU "citrinellus, costa rican red face" the river variant.
Amphilophus labiatus - Red Devils - orange, yellow and the less common barred
Amphilophus sagittae
Amphilophus xiloaensis
and some others
in the mix of New Worlds in my fishroom are also
Herichthys pantostictus
Vieja synspilus - red headed cichlids - wild breeder pair,
and some small guys
Cryptoheros cutteri - - wild breeder pair, collected by a guy I know on his trip to Honduras
Cryptoheros sp. "rio Monga" - rio monga "convicts" - wild pair part of a group also collected in Honduras.
Highlight of my little fish as they were part of the first group to ever enter the hobby
