Price of T-bars/Blue eyed Chiclid's

Postby lisafosc on Sun Oct 14, 2007 7:06 pm

I have hundreds of young T-bars, I have a pair that do nothing other than make and take care of  babies!

I have not been able to find these fish available to purchase any where In my area (Bristol, Uk) . Wondered if any one knows the value of these fish????? Or if any one else here has had these fish before, they are wonderfull little things, fantastic parents.

Thanks
Lisa

I have a group of 4 growing out.  Just moved them from a 10 to a 29.  I agree -- they're great little fish!  They've been in the hobby for years, but you don't see many in the pet stores.  Take a look on Aquabid for ideas on pricing.

Due to thier size and thier compatability with Convicts and Firemouths I'm surprised you dont hear more about them!!! I'll have a look on Aquabid, thanks for that. How are you doing been a long time since we have spoken x

Fairly well!  Very busy at work.  Don't seem to have as much free time any more.  Maybe if I left the TV in "off" mode...  :dontknow:
I think I added another tank since we spoke.  30-long.  Have some HRP's growing out in it.  Also nice fish.  I'm thinking of ending up with one pair of those, and one pair of the T-bars.  Not sure how that'll work long-term if they start spawning.  Both are noted for being hyper-protective (unlike other cichlids, eh?).  Our local fish club, along with a few others in the area, is puttig on a (hopefully) major convention next month.  Should be exciting -- they have some good speakers lined up.  Life keeps moving along -- some parts pleasant, some tradable.  On the whole pretty good!  How are things with you?

Been a busy year really, was quite ill at the begining of the year, would have been hospitalised if it wasn't for my mum jumping in and taking care of me at her place, much much better now tho. Moved house thought I was gonna loose my largest tank but found some where to live that could  accomadate it (is a big tank has my rtc, arrowana, tin foils in all of them have a golden ticket to move into Bristol Zoo, once my tank is too small.)

Lost a tank full of fish due to a thermostat!! But bouncing back from that now with these T bars amongst other lil Cichlids.

Lost my 30 gal tank to my nieces lol they had my momma white con and eggs to raise, now they have five lil cons and two juv pictus to grow out, think thier working on a 100 uk gal tank now!!! £££££££  tmbsup

But too be honest now that things have calmed, I'm enjoying life  :tongue8:

Good to hear!  I had a humorous little incident the other day.  At work we had our 2nd annual Health Fair.  They had people giving flu shots, skin cancer screenings, blood pressure testing, chiropractic samples, accupuncture -- you name it.  So among others, I was speaking with a lady who does Feng Shui.  She took some info from me, and worked out my favorable directions.  She asked me what direction my desk faced, and it wasn't in one of my "good" directions, nor -- being affixed to the wall, was it likely to change.  So she thought a bit on how to make my working area more conducive to good energy for me, then asked, "Have you ever thought of keeping a small aquarium in your office?"
