When keeping Oscars I try for 78 to 80 F. Run it at 82 to help induce breeding. As far as personality/aggressiveness, Oscars are so different from specimen to specimen that it's impossible to predict how they will respond to warm temperature. However, if the temperature is incorrect (either direction) they will become sluggish, refuse to eat, and probably lie down in a corner on the gravel. If the temp is
way off they will also lose their color.
