I have been writing a book for about four months now and i was wondering how to get it published and whatnot.  Does anybody know anything about this?

Never tried it, and don't know much.  What sort of book?  Depending on the subject, you might consider self-publishing.  Use the Web to research the hows of that.  If it's likely to be of mass appeal you could try locating an agent to suggest ways of locating a publisher.  Finding some contact in the business can't hurt.  If the subject matter is specialized, contact a few publishers who produce books on similar subject matter.  Get a manuscript into good enough shape to show it to someone.

It is like a sci-fi novel.  I think it is really cool.  It has a lot a action and is a bit like that book by Christopher Paolini, Eragon. 

All right!  Are you in a place where some of these short continuing education seminars might be available?  Getting your writing published is often a popular topic for these.

alright update on book, it's gonna be in 4 parts,
the beginning
to the future
reunion
final sacrifice
and the whole series is gonna be called 'memoirs of the realm' because the characters are each telling the story from their point of view, like it already happened and they're recounting it form memory.

right now im going through and revising 'the beginning' it will be a long time before this ever hits the market!!
