Oscars are strange sometimes. My Os wont eat krill. I tries different brands and they just spit it out! If you want to try something new look for beef heart, they're supposed to really like it ( only in small amounts though) or you could try going to a bait dhop for some wild caught minnows. I had a baby red who wouldn't grow and i tried that. He almost doubled in size inside of a few weeks! My guys relly seem to like the white shrimp but not plankton. Every one is different, hope I gave you some ideas of stuff to try with them.

I agree, each O is different.  I use Hikari krill, because the other brands don't look as good to me.  Some Os will eat frozen bloodworms and not freeze dried.  Experimentation is your best option.  I recently tried the frozen Hikari Mysis shrimp because of the nutritional values on it ...  my O loved it.

Luckily there is great variety out there!

I also agree with Fred ...  if you go with beefheart ...  only in small amounts ...  or it can be unhealthy.
