baby oscars

i have had my two Oscars for about two years, two weeks ago i got three baby Oscars and put them in the same tank after three days one of the older ones ate one of the babies  ( but at this time i had goldfish in the tank)....
do i need to setup another tank for the babies i have left or do you think they will be alright? :sad5:

Oscars will eat anything that fits in their mouths. SO you need to RESCUE the others before they turn into a dinner too.. AS for the goldfish, they are faster and can get a way.. A smaller Oscar will not run as fast as he was raised with other oscars, so he did not see the danger..

I agree completely as oscar parents are quite involved with the care of their young. Baby Os are completely used to seeing larger Os as protection. I would suggest separating them immediately as well. At least until they are bigger than a mouthful.
