Blister?

Postby amy5335 on Mon Apr 16, 2007 11:42 pm

I don't know how well you can see in these pictures. I'm going to try and get much better pictures tomorrow.

I'm not too sure what happened. My 2 O's have been having some fights lately. My red O has a big red bump on his lip. It looks like a blister. It's really red and pretty gross looking.

I was just wondering if theres any products or anything I can give him to help him heal. I know of one (I think) Melafix? Would that help my O? I just want to ease his pain.

I have heard this also happens occasionally if they run into the glass really hard.  Not sure what would work to fix it though  :dontknow:

I know, I just feel really bad for him. He doesn't want to eat anything. He just puts it in his mouth and spits it right back out. I think it hurts him to eat. But I guess I just have to let him heal himself.

Hi Amy... Yes you can do the melafix AND Primafix together to KEEP it from GETTING A BACTERIAL PROBLEM, but this won't make it go away.. Its like you get a cut and it gets infected, so you put on some anti biotic ointment and a band aid.. So this wil keep the WORSE germs from taking hold.. it should go away on its own..  He wont' starve for a few days, but I have seen them go weeks with out food.. So he should be fine..

My 2 year old male has the same thing. He was startled when he was a jeuvenile and ran head first (rather lip first) into the glass. He didn't eat anything for almost a week! It's like a bad bruise i think. Anyway, after that week he was no worse for wear and his appetite returned. Be patient, he will be perfectly fine.
