Hey all,

I'm planning on getting a 29 gallon tank in a few months.  I was wondering what could be kept in there comfortably.  I was thinking Convicts, but I'm not sure because of the crazy breeding habits.  Any suggestions?

There are lots!  On the South American side, Angels, Rams, and Keyholes come to mind right away.

OK...here's the thing.  I have a pretty small (12 gallon) tank right now.  It's an Amazon setup (Serpae tetras, Cories, and Hatchets) and I need to move them to a bigger tank.  This summer, I plan to buy a 55 gallon and move them over, and add either one or two pairs of angels, and a pair of rams.  So I was thinking of something along those lines, but different, haha.  Right now, Convicts, Firemouths, and Keyholes are matching my size restrictions (the 29 will go in my bedroom).  I was just wondering what else is in that size area, either bigger or smaller...and maybe a little funky, too, haha.  But thanks, Dan, for getting back so quickly!

If convicts, don't get males and females! I have a 35 gallon, I bought 4 convicts and I now probably have like 100 in my tank. Seriously. And you can't get rid of them since convicts are so common and they breed crazily.
