I'd heard of oscars with platinum on the so there must be all platinum oscars, I'm going to have my LFS put an order for one in, they always get new fish in on mondays.

Samantha

I have not heard of platinum Oscars. When I do hear of people buying exotic coloured fish, I shudder. There are
some fish, that have been bred, to enhance colour. To the best of my knowledge, blue Oscars are dyed, and I suspect
platinum ones are as well. A fish that is dyed, is physically injected with dye, under the scales, most fish die from this process. Either soon after the dye, or later on, in some poor unsuspecting persons aquarium.

I would be most interested to learn who is offering "platinum" or other coloured Oscars for sale. Before I would buy such a fish, I would want proof, it is not a "dyed" fish.

Would the bronze Oscar be the Red Oscar? And the pink and albino are the same, are they not?

I haven't heard of a Plantinum Oscar. That's scary.

I think it's nice if you get different ones. I have a Red Oscar and a Tiger Oscar, and my tank is pretty colourful!
