Growth of red devils

Postby ajit on Sat Jan 13, 2007 12:13 pm

How many months do the red devils take to become adults or they are able to breed?

The Rd's that i have are in separate tanks, but they like to be in the same place for long time and are those signs ok

What else as deco do you have in the tank?? I have a clay 6" flower pots for mine and 1" of gravel so they can move it around at will.. IF nothing is in the tank, then they dont' have anything to do so they stay in the same place.. NOT bad for them, but not good either.. Nothing to stimulate them is boring as heck.. try some 'OLD' fake plants so they can tear them up or pull them through out the tank.  mine love this.. My RD female takes her digital  thermometer head and pulls on it.. I always have to replace it daily.. I got rid of a big JD that shared her 55 gal with a divider in.. they went after each other all day.. this keep her stimulated and playfull...  I placed her in a 29 gal until I can sell her, so now she is pouting but eats and seems bored.. I placed in a piece of a tall plant in her tank and she is having fun with it.. She stil has her 6" clay pot...  So find something to keep them un bored as they do like to play and move thngs around.. this is what they  like to do..
