Fire bellied toads, have a toxic skin, so Great care should be taken to supervise your child whilst careing for thier pet, due to the toxication in thier skin thier tank should regularly be cleaned thourally, and thier water changed almost daily. Handling the toad should be minimal and ideally whilst wearing vinyl gloves, obvious precautions such as washing hands after any contact with the toad or its home. The toads should be kept as a single species as it would provve poisionous to other species, toads, fish turtles etc, however you can keep several together with no problems. The toads are semi aquatic so also need a dry area to bask. They eat crickets, waxworms, earth worms, blood worms and other insects, thier food should be dusted in a calcium/vitamin powder before being fed to your toad. they stall small at around 2.5 inchs. If theres any thing else you want to know just ask!

Just take notice that your child could become extremely ill due to the toxins this toad has in its skin, and potentially your child could die!!!!!!! Be warned and be carefull!!!!!!!!!
