hi guys i just thought id let u know tha ive just been talking to my boss and he tells me that he is closing down one of his tanks .

The good news for me is he has got 2 fronytosas in it and he said i can have them.

all i have to do is fetch them after work tommorow so ive got me a small tank to put them in until i get my new one after christmas im really looking forward to getting them.

as soon as ive got them ill try and post some pics 

im well happy ive just been and picked them up and they are really nice . bigger than i thought but not to big .(YET)

The one is about 3inch and the other a little smaler about 2 inch but alot bigger than the ones i was going to buy.

sorry about ur oscar its not nice when u lose one of ur best fish.

ive been trying to get some pics but there a bit shy at the moment. all the pics i have got so far are to dark cuz they wont come out the caves when i go near the tank. but ill keep trying.

i hope it all goes well with the new oscar.

i've just got a pair of Frontosa's too, they are great but yeah mine are shy too at the mo. Mine are just a little bigger than urs but not much. How are you finding they feed? Compared to my other fish they are slow eaters. What are you feeding them?

Do you know if you ahve a pair yet? mine seem to be, or at least great pals, I picked up what I'm calling my female fish 1st (she's smaller and a lighter colour), as I didnt have the cash for both at the time, she seemed to pine and just hid. I came home from work on thurs and my bf had bought me the other one (male I hope), they were so pleased to see each other. They sure are gonna be big fish tho hey x

i think i have 2 of the same sex as there is some rivalry between them.i feed them cichlid diet and trout pellets.

The reason you were not getting a reply about how to post pics is because this thread is in the classified section, you need to go to different parts of the forum for specific questions/convo's. Guess we should move ours to the Cichlid section lol! Hope Barbs advice helps you, its from the photo Gallery section which is where you should post ur pics  x

Nice fronts  (I checked out the gallery).

What size tank do you have?

they are in a 48+12+15 and ive got up this morning and 1 of them had jumped out the lid is flimsy plastic and it was in the tank not on the top

Oh no! Is the fish ok? Are you gonna be able to set up the aguarium to prevent this from happening again? I guess all fish are capable of jumping, but didnt think Frontosa's were jumpers, thought they were more of a mid to bottom dwelling fish!Maybe the lid fell in and caused ur Front to jump!
