the domanate one could be a male.. but the other one could be too. So you are just going to have to wait.. RD even young, dont' like their own kind in the tank.. My Midas are the same way.. with only two or three, they chase each other all the time, with more in the tank, them or others, they seem to do better.. BUT Rd don't do good with others at 5-6" so get ready for that.. ONE wil always be picked on and hide more, being a Male or female.. Finage does not matter here either, but the body will tell U more later in say 4 to 5 mons from now.. IF you have a female, she wil NOT get as big as the male.. She is smaller.. MORE caves are needed to keep this OTHER RD safe OR get a divider now and not let them interchange with each other until you know if you have a female/male or not.. WHEN adult, you can't keep them together anyway... So best get ready for another tank for later AND do a divider for now so the lesser one can eat good and grow.. IF not, it may stay hidden and not grow develope like IT should..
