One deal with a tank,,, YOU can always CHANGE the deco out as many times as you clean it..

My first 75 gal in 2004 First it started LIKE this.. An African tank:

THEN I changed it to this, but only temporary deco and stocked with Americans in 2005

Then I changed it as more or less American cichlilds were changed out or gone 2006:

And then a few weeks ago, I changed it to this.. BUT now it is a African tank again.. pics coming later..

If you posted the pics of how ALL of you tanks have changed there wouldn't be any space for any one else to post lol. Great pics Barb, I often change my tanks around. Your pics also show how diff a american set up is compared to an African, its important people understand that so that the tank is setup to cater for its inhabitants. Great pics x

Barb -- are those rocks just stacked, or did you silicon them to hold position?

No they are just stacked good.. I use thick cobble stones for the base and flater longer ones for the tops
they dont' come down easily with these smaller cichlids,  but the midas sure can make them tumble if you do this.. So they just get clay flower pots..

YOU are rigth Lisa!! if I posted them all. I would take up more room than I should!!  It is to show ppl can always change the tank deco and you really need to pay attention to what fish you have in the tank so you get the right look.. I have my Malawi Dolphins in this tank now and placed in severl of their juvie brother/sisters so they would grow out faster.. the adults at almost 2 yrs are not bothering them at all.. They are just the neatest African to have as they do resimble a SEA DOLPHIN in the face..

the top one looks the nicest those dolphins are so cool!
