Is he scarred of me?

Postby nmageau on Wed Dec 20, 2000 6:56 pm

about 4 months ago I bought a 1 inch. long oscar and put him in my 22 gal tank. He grew really fast and about a month ago I bought a 55 gal tank. He didn't like being transfered from the 22 to the 55 and while I was tring to catch him he was able to jump out of the water but hit the rim at the top of the tank. Now he is scarred of me and just hides at the back of the tank behind a plant. everything in the tank seems to be in the same condition as in the old tank. Is he lonely or scarred of me.

Hi,

Well, just give him some time to acclimate to the different environment(tank). stick around during feeding time, you should be able to get it to feed from your hand sooner or later....

fish always require some time to readjust to a new environment after they are moved. it stresses them out, and he just needs a little time to get over it, since you posted so long ago, i would assume he is long since returned to normal.
