Might sound stupid but can some one explain how I move up a rank?

I mean at the mo I'm a newbie, how do you become junior member etc. Also how many ranks are there?

Sorry guys but I'm a kickboxer and tags are kinda important to me, I dont want to be a newbie any more, I want to feel more at home lol x
