Getting them to tango...

Frys or no Frys?

Postby TexasLove on Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:27 pm

I have been reading on the forms about Cichlids all morning, cause I noticed that one of my Cichlid has a lot of dark looking kind of stuff in her mouth with the bottom of her mouth is all puffed out. And she dosen't come out to eat when I feed them, she stays by herself under a rock in the back of the tank. The boy Cichlid (witch I think is the daddy) is very aggressive towards the other fish and won't let them come near her. They have had babies before (cause they are getting big now) but we have never seen eggs in the tank, just little babies swimming around. So I was wondering do they also carrie the eggs in their mouth,or when they hatch they just automatically go into the mommies mouth  :dontknow:. I can take some pics of my fish if anyone is interested in seeing them, I just don't know how to post them so give me an e-mail and I can send them that way. Thank you very much for any info i can get.

;D Okay I have answered my own question. The harder and longer that I looked, and saw into my fishes mouth I can see tons of little babies in there. Now I just hope that my fishtank won't get over runned by babies  :fish: KK

Here's your pic!  Sorry I didn't see it sooner -- it got routed to my junk folder:

If you go to photobucket, you can set up your own album there, and post from it.  That way you only have to do the upload once.  Very easy to use, and  free!

I tried, but was unable to upload it directly.  The "browse" feature didn't show up.
