I purchase this fish about a month ago thinking it was a Female Auratus.
Then it started changing loseing its defined stripes and brite yellow color.
Its now more of a two tone brown,
About a week ago i purchased what i think is a Female Auratus in the first picture. ( fish will not stand still for a picture)
Second picture is when i first got the mystery fish
Third picture is about 15 minutes ago.
This fish is very agressive and attacks anything smaller than Him/Her
It keeps the female in the corner of the tank but has not attacked her yet.
Are these compatable to be in the same 55 gal tank?
I have looked at several pictures and it looks very simular to a Melanopterus or Parallelus.
Does anybody know for sure, and the sex would be helpful too.
