I have flies

Postby uglyfido on Sun Apr 09, 2006 11:19 pm

I have a 55 gallon tank andIt's really weird, but about an inch of water evaporated down and when I was getting ready to cycle the water I noticed that there are flies inside of my tank. It looks like there may have been som worms that didn't get eaten and slipped through my notice. They would be Tubifex worms, but I thought that they were dead when packaged. What will get rid of these flies, and how did I get them in the first place. Any help would be great. Thanx

So much for a 24 hour response. I have drained and refilled the tank and it seems to be clean now. I hope the flies don't return. Thanx for no help.

Emergency as defined by a standard dictionary:a sudden, urgent, unforseen occurrence requiring immedeiate action.
I am sorry, however as a volunter here, finding time, to answer post is definitely a challange.
In your post there is no emergency. It is a tank problem, there are no fish involved, it should have been posted in a different section. Now if your post had mentioned an issue with the aquariums inhabitants, I would most certanly made time to respond.
I am not trying to flame you, I am simply explaining why, I as one of the section moderators, never replied in the post time alotment.
