i was thinking about all the things we have used to put water in and i thought it would be kinda funny to hear what you all have used to put dirty fish water in, so far we have used ten gallon buckets, a cooler, and pots and pans, which was actually funny b/c my sister in law used a big boiler that we had just got done useing for the ten gallon and cooked roast in it!!!!!!!!!! needless to say we ate chinese that night!!!haahahahaha my husband has even gone far enough to use the grabage can!!!!!!what a nut

I use a long enough hose to siphon it to the bathtub, or to an outside drain, depending on which tank. Beats buckets!

I use 10 gallon plastic buckets, left over from my job as a restaurant manager. Here in the desert we oftentimes have watering restrictions, so old aquarium water is the primary water source for some of my outdoor plants here at the casa:) --Mark:cool:

I use a 5 gal bucket I got at the Home Depot but I have used old margarin tubs, different sized bowls, flower vases, coolers etc.. especially when I first got my 55 gal set up I didn't have enough money for a stand for 2 more weeks so I got the tank and set it up on the kitchen table but then in 2 weeks it needed to be moved to the living room and I didn't want to start all over with all new water so I used everything I could to save the old water.

hose from sink to tank... it has a waterbed type attachment that siphons -and with a twist it fills. It's a great setup to vaccum the gravel. Best $20 I ever spent on equipment. I do a 25 g water change in about 20 minutes.
