Hith help

Postby wemery12 on Mon Mar 13, 2006 3:32 pm

if one of my oscars has hith which im not sure if he does yet but there are like smalllllll little almost pinprick kinda holes on his head.... but very small. so if that happens to be hith can i treat him in the same tank he is in? he's in with a common oscar and a pleaco and a convict. i really hope if it ends up being hith i dont have to quarentine him beacuse i only have an extra 10 gallon tank.

please let me know
thanks

Hith help

Sounds more like sensorsy pits in the head area to me rather than hith. Some oscars have more noticable sensory pits and lateral lines than others... Still keep an eye on it though..

Heres an article

I agree... my current O is about 4 and has always had big 'ol sensory pits. I was concerned when they really developed as he grew but they haven't changed at all... post us a pic
