convict breeding help

Just leave them in the tank when they hatch,, the others wil eat them helping to reduce the numbers greatly.. As convicts are rabbits of the cichlid world you can seperate the males from the females with dividers to other tanks...A 20 gal is not really big enough for them all.. they spawn earily too, so best get ready..IF you leave them all together, the fry wont' survive past 2 weeks..this is good until you get another tank..Several more tanks if you keep them all..Best to seperate them now if you can sex them..Females get the orange bellys, males dont...

mostly, if its not big time breeders like convicts, pet stores would be glad to take it off ur hands. they either grow them and sell them or keep them as feeder fish.

don't worry about the size of your tank, there is nothing you can do about the eggs. Let them hatch. A 20 gallon tank is sufficient for now. The parents will take care of the fish until they are a resonable size to sell or transfe5r to a larger tank. There may be alot at first, but they will attack and kill one another until only a few are left once they get bigger.
