oscar swollwed fertilizer tab

Postby stonefish on Sat Feb 11, 2006 7:36 pm

Hi.
My oscar has just eaten a plant nutrient tablet that i was attempting to bury in the substrate of his tank.

The product is called aquasonic hydrogrow. the label says it contains no phosphates and is mainly a chelated iron blend.

Does anyone know what harm this could cause to my fish? And reccommend a method of treatment should he show any ill effects?
thanks

Im sure the manufactures allow for this sorta thing otherwise it wouldnt be aquarium safe..

Just incase dose the tank with epsom salts at a rate of 1 table spoon per 10g/40Litres of water...

Symptons on human overdose are mostly from mineral and viatmin suppplents. I cant find anything for fish

Hopefully it will just work through and nothing comes of it.
