It would also depend on "if" the fish are male and female of course and are compatable.

I have two africans male and female blue with yellow fins that are mouth brooders. That can't get enough of each other. They have had two broods the last few months and are working on their third.

He swims in front of her and shakes violently. At first I thought the fish had some bizarre form of MS. However I found out it was a mating ritual.

If you wish to breed. Make sure you have protection for the broods in rocks, nooks and crannys, lest they be eaten. Seperate "the male and female" away from the others so they can romance each other with out interferance. then pay attention to thier behaviours.
