Postby wemery12 on Sat Jan 28, 2006 8:11 pm

i do have oscars in this tank and as we all know they are messy eaters that is why i am trying to find a way to get rid of there waste with out having to vaccum every day. and what i have isnt working well on that. the water is crystal clear it is just the ugly poop and un eaten food on the black sand that i dont like

is there any filtration i can use to help this??/

Cure for the uneaten food is to feed less. What filtration are you running now? Some people use a powerhead to move the water on the bottom so the filters will collect the debris. I myself am not offended by a little poop -- just goes with the territory -- but that's just me. IME the undergravel filter isn't the answer.
