Mark I appoligize

Postby GMAN on Wed Dec 07, 2005 10:25 pm

I have no flames as you call it , just disagree on few things. And i appoligize if i came off the wrong way. I agree with just about all of your theory's and science and respect you. I just disagree on the timelines you say. I have no measurable ammount of amm or trite 0ppm. ever in any of my 8 tanks, I know it is present at times when fish exhaust[lol]. But when it is ran through a filter a few times it is broken down to trates eventually, depending on many variables, filtration gph,bio media, contact time, etc. as to how fast it is broken down. I have seen the timeline for myself starting my 1st few fishless cycles,it is wild too, after a few weeks i would add ammonia to water, test water after a few min. was .50ppm then tested next day was almost 0ppm then nrites spiked so on so you know how it works. But after it was completly cycled i could add same ammonia and in a day or 2 both 0ppm and trates present.

Once again Mark no flames here, and as far as 2 O in a 55 that is fine if it works for you, i personally would not try it . My prize winner jumped out and was 15 inches in only a year and a half

Sorry if i caused any flames [? what is flames?] lol and i really respect you as a person and a fishkeeper so i dont want anyone to think i was trying to call you a lyer or start crap..:)

GMAN's post follows.

No, I apologize, you don't need to. Sorry it took over a month to respond, I didn't come across your gracious post until this morning. No excuse for the way I acted, except to say that I was a little too sensitive those days. --
