Thanks for the links, I'll take a look at them -- A friend of mine that owns a local LFS is changing to saltwater fish only, and had a few Central American babies she was looking for temporary housing for. So in one of my 55s I have a pair of 2 inch convicts, I believe both male, three Green Flash Cichlids (Cichlasoma Nicaraguense, the fellows with the round heads), two Salvini Cichlids, a single Jaguar, and a single Red Devil. All these fishfaces are less than three inches except the RD and one of the Salvinis, who are almost four. It breaks my heart that I will not be able to house any of them permanently (except perhaps the cons), but especially the RD and the Jag are fascinating. My house has no room for the 200+ gallon aquarium I think each one would require. Beautiful fish.
