Congratulations! You can pretty much decorate your new Oscar show tank any way you'd like: but you need to do it with heavy items, like rocks. Oscars (or some of them, anyway) like to move things around and re-arrange their aquariums, so if you want some order in the tank get 'em things they can't move. Gravel is better larger, and make sure it's rounded and not sharp-edged so there's no possibility of injury as they're nosing around their home. As far as filtration, the style is up to you: (Canister, power, whatever). The only thing to avoid is undergravel, because Oscars will push the gravel around enuff that the water will bypass it. My personal goal is to provide filtration at the rate of approximately 66 gallons per hour per every ten gallons, with a biological addition like bio-wheels. So, if you get the 100g after the new year, you'll be looking at a goal of 660 gph, which is two larger power filters, or a couple of good, strong canisters. Final thought: Make sure the tank's stand is r-e-a-l low to the ground!!!!!!!! That way little kids can see the Oscars!! :toothy9:  tmbsup
