Ineed some advice on my picossumus (i know that is not the correct spelling, an algae eater) I have just got my second aquarium ( Because my convicts have fry, I wanted to move my other cichlids from the tank) So I got a small picossumus, He looked fine when I put him in the tank but now he has a red streak on his tail fin it has gotten worse over the last three days, I have put a fungus eliminator in thinking it may be an infection, What else should I do? I also would like to know , How long does i take for convict fry to mature enough to seperate from parents? I would really apreciate the advice from someone!!

It could be bloody-fin. Is it limited to his fins? My oranda and goldfish have had this before, but I have never seen it on either of my plecos. If it is bloody-like streaks on his fins, I would try adding Macryn-Two to the tank. If you have a hospital tank, that might be better for treatment.

Could you provide some more information on his symptoms and how he's doing? It's been a few days since you posted.

Sadly enough he died , I knew it was serious because it got so bad so fast, The other fish all seem to be doing fine. But it was streaks of blood looking stuff on his tail fin, I will go and get some macryn in case this ever happens again, I was very dissapointed when he died, because I also lost all my convict Fry in the other tank,But will continue on , Do you know how often convicts will breed? Thank you for your response!

Sorry to hear that, your convicts should be at it again in no time though, just feed them well, give em good wwater quality and in couple weeks you'll be rewarded...
