this is so funny.... all of our friends that come over to our house are always trying to get one or the other to stick his/her hand in the fish tank and see if they get bite.( apartently they have nothing better to do then this and play xbox till dawn) well if i walk by the oscars think it is time to get fed and they are getting back to letting me pet them. and they like to rub their heads againist my figer. well one of our friends thought that it would be neat to fed them and make them jump. well he got the fire bite out of his figers and splash. both jumped at the same time bite him and tailed slaped the water so hard that the two ppl standing next to him had wet shirts also. hahahahaha it was great. i had to clean up a huge puddle of water but it was soooooooo worth it. now nobody wants to stick their hands in the tank.

That'll learn 'em real good!

(Unbeknownst to our would be guests, we replaced the real oscars with piranah in oscar costumes......)

ohhhh that's good:D you have the same point of view as my husband. he wants to make an outdoor pond and let ppl who want to pet the fish swim with the fishes cousins...... piranahes.mohaaaahaha:laughdevi

We have a friend who thinks that our Silver Dollars are Pirahah's. I think it's a hoot! I will put my hand in the tank and of course they dont come near me, I have him convinced they are trained.........duh!

no they aren't pirahahs they are in the same family, if i am not mistaken they are all cichlids. but that is funny. you should try and scare him into puting his hands in the tank. tell em you need him to help you clean it.

ohh well see folks ya learn somethin' new each day. all that really matters though is that the ones we seen at walmart had teeth!!! and they were bigger then the oscars. i am sooooooooooo glad i didn't any where in god's green earth would i put a three foot long fish.

My oscars act like paranahs!!! Montie has teeth that could bite through skin... And he won't stop biting the magfloat when I try to clean his tank.... But he will let me pet him and fiddle with his fins.... then he always halls off and bites me something fierce.... I wish he was the nice little fishie he once was...

yeah don't we all when our o's decide to do something evil. my wild ernie decided it would be cute to fin me and then tail slap the water to get me drenched. he can abe such a cute fish and a total, well you now what the next. but.....i still love him.

my oscar bite my finger so hard it was scary took a good chunk out wen he was only lick 5inch he jump out and bite me lol
