Just in case anyones interested. That lives close enough to check it out. Feb 15th will be the Ohio Cichlid Association's winter auction.
I don't go to them all, since it's a fair drive but There is usually ALOT of good cichlid buys at their auctions 90% of the fish are from private breeders.Theres a few people who also bring direct imports. This auction is for cichlids, scavangers, plants and dry goods.
If you like africans this show has TONS! It doesn't always have the amount of S.A. and C.A. cichlids I'd like to see but you can find some rarer species there.
We usually get together a few people,so we can buy some of the bigger bags/actions without space or cash being an issue.
Last time we went some things we got were:
25 1.5" red empress - $22
2.8 breeding eureka red Aulonocara $72
pr of marble veil angel breeders $12
6" breeding pair of pigeon blood discus $45!
8 - 2" tangerine discus $95
20 - 1" Electric Blue Hap $25
10 - 1" nicaraguense $22
2.5 6" wild frontosa $215 (I think it was $215 or $225)
25 - assorted sized sponge filters $7
55 gallon tank with full hood and lights $30
75 gallon tank (bare) $56
and more, just don't rember exact prices on anything else off hand.
If anyone near me (n.w.ohio) or between the auction and me is going ,I'll be taking my truck and Possiably a trailer and may be able to move large stuff for people close to me or my route home from there.

fish and "fishy" stuff allowed here
