How many fish can she have per day/week? she just chomped down two small roseys, and shes not beggin for food right now for the first time since i got her. Did i give her to much or what?

i think 2 is fine, she was probably just full, so she wasn't begging. you can let the feeders go in the tank, she won't overeat to any danger. i have found the fuller my oscars get, the lazier they become, so if she gets full, she won't chase the food anymore. once she is hungry again, she will go get it. good luck.

True but they certainly do eat. I have 4 - a red, velvet, albino, and a common. All over 8", albino is 13" and they go thru about 250 goldfish a week, and I am not talking small rosies either!!! They also get shrimp, pellets, and large flakes. My babies are PIGS who get very mad when mommy does not feed them enough!

be sure to give your Oscar a variety of food. Live and dry, if you only feed your Oscar feeders that all she will eat. Oscars in the wild normally eat bugs and other terestrails in the water before they will eat other fish.freeze dried bloodworm, shrimp, crustaeons, tubifexworms and live brime shrimp, nightcrawlers(you can get from a regular fish bait shop or out side your house),crickets, just about anything, the bigger the selection the healthier your oscar.
