Peacock Bass

Postby Cichlaocellaris on Sun Mar 09, 2008 12:07 pm

Just wondering if anyone else has a peacock bass or more than one, and I am espescially interested to know if anyone has any species other than Cichla ocellaris like C. intermedia, temensis, orinicensis, monoculus.... I cannot find and do not believe there are any such specimens available in the United States, and I had a hard time getting mine, and had to get one that was less than one inch in length, but I was able to raise him to about 8 inches now. Any pics of your Peacocks would be great.

- If I had to catch only one fish let it be the PAVON.

There are quit a few other either unnamed species or area specific variants in the U.S. but not a lot of them.
People who have some are tight lipped due to the price/worth of some of them at this time.

I kept temensis for a little while but needed the room for other fish.
