there is also a very simple rule that many apply
1 inof fish to every gallon of water so if your cons are under 5" each you should be ok.once again thats only if you have a pair

peaceful convicts?

Postby dethmunkee on Sat Mar 31, 2001 3:39 pm

hey,

dont worry guys.. they are only an inch big and when they get bigger, i already have a 20 gal tank waiting for them. i didnt chose to use the 20 gal beacuse it was too big and my room is cluttered as is. by they get their potential side, i'll have enuff mula to getta stand for them. and i could put them some where else. imma shure theres a female and male. one is smaller with orange and the other bigger one has longer fins.

In the original message, it is stated that the pet owner has two Convicts afraid of guppies. The size of the Convicts is not given. We can resolve from this that the fish are NOT 5", or even 4", 3", or 2". For Convicts to shy away from guppies we are discussing REAL small fish. Therefore, a 30 gallon tank is ludicrous.

For the fella with 5" Convicts, the discussion of that probably ought to be listed under another post - so that we are not mixing oranges and apples.
