well we have decided to get rid of our 55 gallon and switch to a 30 gallon, my question can we put 5redfin sharks 4 tigger barbs, and 3 small plecos(baby ones)?
I do not want to overcrowd the tank so please tell me if my numbers are too high.
thanx a bunch,

I would cut back to 1 pleco, and get rid of the sharks... if memory serves me correctly they can get up into the 18-24" size range at full size. The barbs should only get a few inches long and will be fine in that size tank.

im not oscar2001 or adam..but i can help..

red-finned sharks (like rainbow sharks, chinese algae eaters, and flying foxes) are very territorial to each other. if there are only a few of them, they wont be able to stand each other as they grow up. they dont get 24" (i think thats the black shark), but 6" max. if you plan on keeping red-finned sharks together, plan on a lot more, or just 1. IMO, these those lil guys really messed with my pictus and 3-lined cats

also, if possible, try to get more tiger barbs like around 7.

and as adam sayd, 1 pleco will do.

EDIT: sent to general freshwater topic
