We lost one of our Jumbo Tiger Oscars on Friday. We think from Hole in the Head Disease. We've had an ongoing battle with the disease for quite a few years. Tried everything imaginable. Do you think my surviving Oscar is lonely? Will he/she be okay by her/himself? I have a l50 gallon tank. I put feeder goldfish (6) in the tank trying to perk up the fish. I have (3) left and the surviving Oscar is not at all interested. He/she seems to be more active since the other one is gone.

Sorry to hear about that. About HITH, do you use activated carbon in your tank? if yes how much and what kind etc...do you keep nitrites/nitrates and ammonia levels down? or how frequent/big water changes? hope you don't lose anymore fish, hopefully we can help you get your tank healthier,
