Guys just bought a new tank, I've been told its 400litres. What should I put in it, I cant decide! Open to any suggestions. All fish considered, obviously if I know enough about looking after it! I dont mind researching.

That is a 105 US gal tank.. NICE!!  What do you want to have?? American or African?? I woudl do what my water conditions say.. hard and high pH, Africans,, soft and low pH,, Americans.. This way I would NOT have to mess with bufffers or RO units..  BUT this is just me... 

well i have been looking at numerous fish for my new tank, but I have an easier time.  that simply is because it will be my first large tank.  What you already doing might help everyone to give you new suggestions so that everyone tells you new things.

Ok I have a huge tank with a large plec, rtc (which will be rehomed), Two large tin foil barbs, two zebra convicts, a port acara and a small leopard plec. That tank used to home four firemouths and a White convict also that died whilst treating with meds  , will replace these when I'm less upset about loosing them. I then have another tank for African Malawi cichlids. And a small 22 uk gal for my Apple snails. Just about to purchase a Betta for my bf. So you see I have a wide variety and want to extend lol. Would rather not go for a marine set up tho.

Guys, my tank arrives on tues so only a few weeks untill I can put my fish in, you know what its like I'm itching for the new fish already, my lfs is really good and can usually order any fish I ask them to, so need some suggestions quickly lol

Just Got My 30 Gallon Tank, I have had it step up for two days now, and I 1 Bala Shark, 3 Tiger Barbs, 2 Black Phantom Tetras, 2 Black Stripe Tetras, 2 Blood Fin Tetras, and 1 Texas Chichild also a Alge Eater....I was thinking of getting a Albino Rainbow Shark?? Anyone know if this is a good idea?? Also What other fish would go good with what I have already?? 

Hi, Treechoppa!  For the future -- just to make following these conversations easier, please begin a new conversation like this by using the "new topic" option.  Meanwhile, congratulations on your purchase.  Overall, a nice selection of fish!  You're going to have a bit of a problem with two of them though.  The bala shark will eventually grow to around a foot in length, as will the Texas Cichlid.  The Texas will also likely wipe out all your other fish as it grows.  For that size tank, I'd suggest trading the bala and the Texas back to your lfs.  The rainbow shark wouldn't be a bad choice, though they can be bullies at times.  Good luck with your fish, and keep us posted!

Well thanks 4 tha info on tha fish I already have!! Tha Bala Shark And The texas are Tha 2 Fish I care about tha most, I just got a Albino Rainbow Shark Today!! Also a Albino Cory....I think thA 2 bLACK sTRIPE tetras I have are already mature because of there coloring....Any truth that tha Bala Shark Will grow to to how much tha space it lifes in?? 

Congrats on your new purchases!  If you want to keep the Texas and the Bala you'll need a much bigger tank.  The only truth to the "fish will grow to the size of the tank" BS, er, myth,  is the occasional news story about people keeping kids locked in a closet for years -- they don't generally get very big either, but the people who do that to kids usually go to jail.  It's mainly a handy tidbit for ignorant or just greedy pet shop employees to make a sale -- if they think about it at all, they probably figure that when the ones you buy die you'll come back and buy more.
