Hahahha, Hi Bill! NOPE I didn't know it was you till I just clicked on the profile button right now! you know I wish this BBS let me allow people to post without having to register, seems like everyone prefers just to email me questions directly instead of posting.

Allo all, I an new to the website & BBS, but not new to having cichlids. Actually I am a born again Oscar owner/lover. I just recently aquired another Albino Tiger Oscar, whom is still shy to my presence, unless he's being fed of course. I have been w/o an oscar for about 3 yrs. now but that streak has ended. I also have jewel cichlids, the deep red ones, which are a breeding pair hopefully, and a few placos. I can see in the near future my collection growing. Keep up the progress. Chat later..

Well it didn't take long! Squirt(Abino tiger, ironic I know:)can't get enough of my presence now. He has learned to associate me w/ food. Every time I walk into my room, he goes beszerk! I love it. Also my red jewels(bonnie & clyde) have done the same. I'm not really familiar w/ this particular type of fish, but I seem to knotice they have the same personality as squirt! They are very associative and do not shy from me when I stick my hand in the tank to clean or chnge stuff up. Any one w/ info on this fish let me know. I couldn't really find that much info on them. Other than that all is well in the under water world. Hope to see more people hitting this site and putting in there 2 cents. Thanks!
P.S. Joe, what is the member count up to? Just curious...

Hi Kickstart, great to hear your "Squirt" is finally behaving properly :) I'll try to post some Jewel cichlid info when I get a chance. I'll check on the BBS memberships and get back to you. Unfortunately it seems to me like there's a LOT more people just emailing me instead of posting on here. I try to tell them to POST here so that others can help them also and our conversations can be of benefit to others. (Plus I don't have to repeat myself every other email :) Do you think people don't use BBS as much as emailing me because they have to "register" to POST? later,

Hi Kickstart,

OK I checked out the stats on the BBS members. There are currently 21 members. I wish more people would register instead of only emailing me. BBS first went up on 05/12/2000, so it has been three months. Four members have not posted anything. I am in the lead of course with 44 posts followed by "Discus" with 7posts and then you(kickstart) with 5 posts, followed by the rest. As far as hits, it is getting from 80-120 hits a day. Wish more of these visitors would post in this BBS, I WILL eventually have a LOT more fish info, I Promise! :)

Hi Jay,

Thanks for posting. Well, you have some of the best fish in the hobby, at least personality wise in my opinion. Oscars and convicts are really great fish. Let us know about your oscars. One of my goals here is to help people breed their fish. Do you know the sex of your oscars? (I'm sure you'll have NO problem breeding your convicts :)

Yea Jay...you prob won't need that much luck with the convicts. They have no depressed libido problems! But then again>that's probably the reason you have a ton of them..

Well, kickstart, now you have the number one position on the BBS. You put Discus in second place with your 8 posts. Now if everybody else followed your lead we'd solve everyone's fish problems in no time! :)
