need lots of info

Had Oscar and Sassy for about 3 years. Male and female, but don't know which is what. How often do they lay eggs and how long to hatch? We just had a spawning but they got ate by our "pisc". Any info about Oscars will help immensely.

Well the best that I can help you as with as of now is to check out this site on this page. www.cichlidfish.com/oscars/index.shtml Under this sestion, look up breeding and sexing O's(the moderator of this site has had personal experience with breeding Oscars) this little section goes over everything you pretty much need to know about it. Anything else that you might not understand or need a little help on just hit the BBS again and ask///someone will try to help you out!!

Hi zSassy,

If you havn't already, please follow the link Chuck posted. Next time they spawn, look at their "tubes", ie genital papillae. The male's tube will be longer, thinner and more pointed while the female's ovipositor will be more barrel-shaped(oval), wider, and shorter.
