Sorry I can't help you with the stomach and rear problems, but I might be able to help you with the gasping for air problem. What is your water quality like? When I had a problem with water quality, I noticed my oscars doing the gasping for air thing. Poor water quality might be causing your other problems too.

How big are your oscars? What size is their tank? Do you have any other fish in with them and are they exhibiting any symptoms?

Sorry to hear your oscar died. Probably some air bladder problem if it was bloated, some are curable others not so curable. Only time I encountered it, wasn't a big problem since symptom was that it forced fish to the top and otherwise oscar was healthy. Some feedings of good oily live foods fixed it, I had actually bought it with the condition. The fish store owner I guess had fed it only dried pellets and "rarely" and usually what happens is they gobble them up immediately before they even have a chance to soak, end up expanding inside "plugging" their system and building up gases. Your case may have been disease caused so I would really clean out that tank before you put any other fish in it. take care,
