CichlidFish.com - Fish That Think.

My Oscar is 4 years old.......he has developed several round holes in his forhead and its side. He seems fine other than that and is eating fine....Can anyone out there offer any suggestions as to what it is?

Sounds like its got HITH (Hole in the Head)
This ailment is pretty common amongst oscars and large cichlids.

If the oscar starts to not eat or you think he is getting bad like Edwins trimac then I suggest you treat with metronidazole as described in this post http://www.cichlidfish.com/ubb/Forum13/HTML/000072.html

However I would give Adams proven treatment a go first.
