i need help!!! i just bought an escondido texas and i put it in a 10gal tank with a red devil slightly bigger. the rd attacked it right away so i decided to put my escondido in a 2.5 gal tank. but its acting strange. it doesnt swim and looks very nervous. what shall i do? this is my first texas. i had few flowerhorn before and some rd.

Could be just shock of new tank, how big are the fish? Did you take water from the 10gallon to put in the 2.5gallon or you filled the 2.5gallon with all new fresh water? Check your water temps and make sure you treated for chlorine/chloramines etc.....you may consider bigger tank but use a tank separator to keep them from being able to fight each other....

thanks for your reply bro. youre right. now my fish swims and eats. im planning to put it in my 35gal tank but i think i should buy some tankmates for that baby. im just curious if it can crossbreed with a flowerhorn? >:D
