Missing scales

Postby ConvictKid on Sun Mar 03, 2002 9:25 pm

My mom has 1 betta in a 5.5 gal flat back hex tank. The top of his head and face is missing alot of scales and is bright red. I have given him some water conditioner, melifx, and amonia lock(not all at the same time) hoping that one of those would help. The melifix did help a little but it keeps getting worse, this has been going on for about 2 weeks. What can it be and what can i do to help?????

is he in with other fish? or did he do it to himself? you could try some of that stuff big al's sells, with the "nature bandage" ie aloe vera. it may be in the water conditioner you put in...I'm not sure if betta's can stand salt, but if they can , I would give that a try. other than that I dunno Image
