first what the hell can I do to get my plecos to stop sucking holes in the leaves of my amazon sword plants? Seconly, does certian lighting affect the growth of these plants. I have flourescent lighting in my 75. Thanks,

Well I have vitually the same tank as you, 80 gallon. And I also have a pleco and amazon swords... the only thing you can do is give the pleco something else more appetizing to chew on like a piece of romain/spinich/zuchini etc... mine does the same think... I have 120 watts of light above my tank and my swords are starting to take off... with 40, and 80 watts they grew but never fast enough to overtake the damage done by the pleco... they are finally starting to grow faster then the pleco can chew so you might need bighter lights. Amazon swords are moderate to bight light plants and the brighter they are the better they will grow.
