Yeah that is a real fish. I believe it is an australian fish called a baramundi if I'm not mistaken... they actually get bigger then that if you believe it Image

yup that sure is a barra, and yep they do get larger, there is one in the sydney aquarium in a very large tank which is a fair bit larger then that, A friend of mine has one abotu 16in long, its an awesome fish and it has a HUGE mouth(look at the one in the pic, you could fit the guys head in it), it looks awesome when it takes food, especialy live crickets etc. Its a great hunter too, when he first put it in his tank it immediatly started hunting everything else in the tank - The only thing he has been able to keep with it is 2 salmon tail catfish of about the same size,

No, thats a Nile Perch, it's the shore angling record, from Lake Victoria in Africa.

Yep, same family, both huge fish, but the Nile Perch grows a bit bigger.

bugger ay,, looked like a barramundi to me, i have seen some pretty big barra, but nothing comes close to the one at Sydney Aquarium, Any other Aussies on here seen the one i am talking about?? i would love to see a pic of it.
