i have 7 oscars 2 of them are in seperate 6 foot tanks.
the rest are in a 1000 litre pond. (265 gallons ) wondering how to introduce them .for i lost my female of a breading pair when she jumped out of the tank. all are of similar size about 8 to 10 inches long. and all are territorial. should i move them around so they are in different tanks so the surroundings are changed and there not so territorial. trying to establish another breeding pair or two.any help would be appreciated.

Good luck with this one! For finding the breeding pair, just keep your eyes on the group. They'll let you know if they pair off. Then maybe transfer that pair into the tank. For just adding a 2nd one to the tank, try putting one from the pond that's slightly smaller than the one already in the tank. Keep an eye on them for awhile. They might get along OK right away (unlikely), or they might go through a couple of days of establishing which is dominant (watch closely in case a rescue is in order), or they might clash right away. No way to predict.
