Interesting info on carbon brands

I found this post on another board... I thought it was pretty interesting, and figured I would pass it along to all of you who are using carbon Image

One of my first job's out of high school was at White House. You know, they make apple juice and vinegar. Well over that summer I worked on the juice line. To make a long story short, they'd change the labels on the machine every now and then. All of a sudden we'd be running Libby's, or generic brands. Or local supermarket brands.
Same bottle same juice, different label! So here I sit with this $10.99 jug of LFS Black Diamond. By Marineland, read fine print on side however. "Marineland Aquarium Products, A division of Aquaria,Inc. Moorpark,Ca"
Picking up the $4.99 Wal-mart jug, it reads Regent (brand)
Aqua-Tech (product name). Reading the fine print on side again, "Regent Pet Products. Moorpark,Ca. Regent and Aqua-Tech are trademarks of Aquaria,Inc"
Same bottle, same weight. Maybe this has been covered before I dunno, didn't turn up in any searches. Here's pic's of these products side by side.

well it is a rip off I suppose... you can get generic cheap ketchup that is the same as teh Heinz brand if you know where to look on the labels etc... I think they have a deal with the gov so that people who are poor can get good product at a lower price... also they get profit from more parts of the market then just their name brand stuff... you figure they are still making a profit on the cheap stuff they just make more on the name brand... they get the money out of the cheap skates and the rich people both... pretty ingenious if you ask me
