Just curious as to what the members think about the forums.

What would make the forums more interesting and/or active?

Anything you feel the forums are missing?


Any thought?

i love african cichlids and i think a forum for them would really much more interesting:D

We had an africans forum before but didn't get much hits at all so we combined it back with 'cichlids'. We could give a try again though and see how it goes.

I would like to see a forum on keeping:

1. Plants, what you need to do, what kind of fertalizer, substrate, rock or sand, Co2 or not.

2. Water. So we can discuss where we need to keep our water primaters at. and so forth. We all know, but most do not.
There is no where to discuss these at.

3. Moderators to KNOW about these forum topics, and not leave us hanging.

Probabley any topic to HELP members with some topics that is not being done now. (other than fish, they are covered)

I'm sure others have what they would like to see to bring in more New members, and keep the existing members here.

I'm open to new forums, isn't hard to add new ones....there's the danger of over-crowding though and confusing people or overload. But I guess maybe we can have more "Categories" and from the home page we can direct people directly to the "Categories" they're interested in. So they don't see a zillion things at once and have a seizure

WE can try to get a spark going by maybe scheduling another "live" chat event. I could then email all the forum members etc....Maybe Chat link needs more visibility and less options? ie only one java interface to choose from?

i think if we have a more active chat room, people will be able to get info right away and will decrease the amount of same questions beeing asked and it will make it easier to find info.

Yes an active chat line that is easy to get to and USE would be great. Also posting of pics on forums that should'nt be their. Is their a way to remove the Browse botton? Or is that a moderator problem? Hummm...

Ok If i get this right, out of the Chat room list you want us to look it over and pick one to be the main Chat room forum style. Now that could get interesting. if everyone pics a different one then what? A poll? I down loaded them to try and understand each one better. I don't know that much about Java and HTML. So I might bow out of this one. As for the Browser. forget it.

yea, that's what i mean , pick ONE main one that will be linked directly from main page and forum. The others will still work but will not be 'upfront' , have to dig more to get to them.

Sounds like a plan and you can be the chat host of it and teach us simple fish people about computers and how to fix them without useing a shoe or a hammer but then I may miss my hammer
