hello, iv got 4 Rainbow cichlids in a comunity and two paired off and have been laying eggs n such for a while wev had fry twice but theve beem eaten by other fish. so i move the pair to there own tank.

and guess what

the male is swimming upside down , gasping for air.

iv put the female back in her old tank she is fine but iv left the male where he is.

Wot can i Do?  is there any chance for him?

Please i need help 

Check the water  quality in the tank, ie was it cycled? Or maybe the male was injured during the move. Without some idea of the tank's water tests for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, its hard to get an idea of what happened.
