My O is about 2 years old and about 12".  He is a big boy and takes his feeding very seriously, yesterday i was feeding him is sinking pellets and he chased one to the bottom and instead of grabbing the pellet he grabbed a rock, his rocks are about the size of med to large strawberries, now usually he will sift through them and pick them up and spit them out, but this rock he swallowed. . it looked like he was trying to chew it. About 15 seconds later he shot the rock out with full force, he seemed a little pannicked and would not continue eating. Do you think he injured himself??? I sure hope not, he is such a wonderful part of the family!

He's probably OK.  Just keep an eye on him for a few days and see what develops.

both of mine do that everyday!  I let them arrange their tank because if I set it up, well O's rearrange!  So yeah watch him and he'll probably be ok....probably shocked him more than anything....and he got embarassed too! no worries
